To activate the EconModel presentations,
you need to download and install the EconModel program. This page
describes the steps in this process.
Step 1:
What is a Model Link?
- The Model Links on an EconModel-based web site point to files containing
economic models. After you have
installed EconModel, clicking on a Model Link will automatically start the
EconModel program and load the model file.
-
If this is not clear or you are having a problem with a Model Link, please
read What is a Model Link?
Step 2: Get a Ticket for the Classic Economic Models
To license a computer to use EconModel, you need a ticket class and a ticket number.
These are distributed by e-mail. Each ticket
licenses one computer for one year. You will be prompted to enter
your licensing information the first time you try to run an EconModel
application that is not a free trial.
-
One Year Subscription
Subscribe for a whole year for only $20. For far less than the
$130 you paid for your last textbook, you get to actively work with and
learn about 16 of the most important models in economics.
-
Site License Ticket Window If
your e-mail suffix is listed below, you are eligible for a subscription
under a site license.
Current site licenses:
- UNC, Chapel Hill (unc.edu)
- California Institute of Technology (caltech.edu)
- Duke University (duke.edu)
- University of Washington (washington.edu)
- Yale University (yale.edu)
Contact sales@econmodel.com for a site license.
